Program Notes by José Elizondo:

Feierlicher Festmarsch is a jubilant processional, written for organ, brass quartet, and timpani, and infused with a sense of stately celebration. Originally composed for a majestic wedding ceremony that took place at Boston's historic Trinity Church in Copley Square, the piece celebrates the beginning of a new chapter in life with music that mirrors the joy and significance of the occasion.

The work evokes imagery of entering through symbolic gates—an emblem of transition and new beginnings. Its bold brass fanfares and resounding timpani set a tone of anticipation and excitement, while the organ’s stately foundation anchors the procession in timeless dignity. Feierlicher Festmarsch captures the essence of celebration, marking a transformative moment where tradition meets grace and a future filled with promise unfolds.
